About the MDP-500 G6
The Myryad MDP-500 G6 is a 7.1-channel digital preamplifier-processor for home-cinema and high-fidelity audio systems. It decodes Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES Matrix and Discrete, DTS Neo:6, Dolby Pro Logic II, and Myryad’s Surround 6.1 mode. The unit accepts multiple line-level analog sources and up to six digital sources, and provides a 7.1-channel analog input for connecting sources such as SACD or DVD-Audio players without routing them through its digital processing. Its facilities include bass management, stereo and surround listening modes, analog recording outputs, and composite and S-Video video connections. The processor uses Crystal Semiconductor conversion circuitry and supports high-resolution digital audio capability, while its volume control and output stages remain in the analog domain. The G6 version was an updated design with improved conversion performance and expanded surround-format support.
