About the Signature Gold

The MY Sonic Lab Signature Gold is a Japanese-made low-impedance moving-coil phono cartridge designed by Yoshio Matsudaira. It uses MY Sonic Lab’s proprietary SH-μX magnetic core and a semi-line-contact stylus on a super-duralumin cantilever. The design delivers a 0.5 mV output from a 1.4-ohm internal impedance, with fewer coil windings intended to reduce signal loss and distortion while maintaining high efficiency. Recommended loading is 100–800 ohms, with approximately 400 ohms typically suggested; recommended tracking force is 1.9–2.2 grams. Its low-impedance architecture and precise stylus design are intended to provide accurate tracking, high resolution, and dynamic, spacious reproduction.
