The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 is a redesigned hybrid integrated amplifier that revives the legendary Nu-Vista 800, which was discontinued in 2021 due to unavailable display components. The 800.2 features a modernized front panel with a new display, rewound transformer for reduced noise, revised power supply circuits, and a new remote on/standby function. This dual mono design combines four Nuvistor tubes in the preamp section with state-of-the-art SMD technology and a locally decoupled output stage derived from Musical Fidelity's TITAN power amplifier. The amplifier delivers astonishing technical performance with vanishingly low distortion, extremely low noise, and flat frequency response across an enormous bandwidth. It features five versatile inputs (balanced XLR, CD, Tuner, and two auxiliary inputs), both fixed line and variable pre outputs, and a home theatre bypass. The Nu-Vista 800.2 is renowned for its silky smooth presentation, enormous transients, effortless feel, and exceptional soundstage imaging.
