About the NU-Vista 600.2
The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600.2 is a significantly reworked integrated amplifier following the success of the Nu-Vista 800.2. Designed by Chief Simon Quarry, it emphasizes sweetness, transparency, control, authority, and dynamic capability. Key upgrades include a laser-trimmed volume control (±0.5dB gain error), high-quality relays for input switching, polypropylene capacitors in the signal path, fully discrete Class A nuvistor tube buffer stage (four 6S51N nuvistors), dual-mono preamp with separate L/R power supplies, locally decoupled TITAN output stage, and improved PSU with bulk capacitance on separate PCB. It uses oversized toroidal transformers and maintains a strictly analog design without digital or wireless features. The chassis features a redesigned front panel with color dimmable display (optional VU meters), milled aluminum construction, and Nu-Vista remote. Nuvistors are long-lasting with Musical Fidelity holding reserves for lifetime service. Warm-up indicated by tube-bay LEDs (red to orange to blue in ~20 minutes). Still in production as of 2025 announcements.
