The Musical Paradise MP-P1 is a tube phono preamplifier for both moving-magnet (MM) and moving-coil (MC) cartridges. It uses four 12AX7 tubes and provides 49 dB of MM gain and 78 dB of MC gain. The MM input is fixed at 47 kΩ, while the MC section offers selectable loading options including 30, 40, 50, 67, 75, 86, 200, 300, and 600 ohms. The MC step-up section uses a JFET circuit and can alternatively be powered by a separately supplied 12–24 V DC battery with a current limit of 1 A or less. The unit accepts 110, 120, 220, or 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, consumes 35 W, measures 355 × 105 × 300 mm, and weighs 8 kg net.
