About the V-DAC

The Musical Fidelity V-DAC is a high-quality digital-to-analog converter that brings audiophile-grade performance to computer audio and other digital sources. It features 24-bit/192kHz upsampling capability and includes three digital audio inputs (optical TOSLINK, coaxial RCA, and USB Type B) with a single pair of RCA line-level stereo outputs. The unit comes with an outboard 12V power supply and is housed in a compact, unobtrusive chassis. The V-DAC delivers lower noise, better linearity, ruler-flat frequency response, excellent stereo separation, ultra-low distortion, and incredibly low jitter compared to integrated DACs found in CD/DVD players and game consoles. It has been discontinued and replaced by the V-DAC II, which offers improved performance specifications.
