The Music Hall c-dac15.3 combines a single-disc CD player using a Sanyo HD850 vibration-damped transport with a high-performance DAC section in a single chassis. It employs a Burr-Brown PCM1796 24-bit/192kHz DAC for CD playback and a Wolfson WM8805 transceiver for handling digital inputs up to 24-bit/192kHz. Key features include a brushed black aluminum faceplate, high-efficiency toroidal power transformer, gold-plated stereo analog outputs, coaxial digital output, removable power cord, special padded vibration-damping feet, voltage-switchable power supply (115V/230V AC, 50-60Hz), system remote control, and an easy-to-view display with adjustable brightness. It supports standard CD player functions like scan, repeat, fast forward/back, previous/next, and random play. The unit switches seamlessly between CD (Read) and digital inputs via front-panel or remote control. Discontinued in Fall 2023 and replaced by the Music Hall CD25.3, it was praised for its versatility, performance, and value at around $549, pairing well with the Music Hall a15.3 integrated amplifier.[1][2][4][5]
