The Music Hall MMF-7 turntable employs a split-plinth design with two platforms separated by sorbothane hemispheres for vibration isolation. It features three adjustable spiked feet on discs for stability. The motor is a 12V AC type with an external power supply, mounted diagonally opposite the tonearm to reduce vibrations. The platter is made from acrylic with a screw-down clamp and weighs approximately 2.7 kg (6 lbs). The MMF-7 comes fitted with a Pro-ject 9-inch tonearm and a Goldring Eroica H high output moving coil cartridge. It supports two speeds, 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, with manual speed change. The turntable has a deviation from nominal speed of ±0.5% and wow and flutter of ±0.08%. Dimensions are approximately 18.5" W × 14.2" D × 5.3" H, and it weighs about 25 pounds. The design isolates critical components such as the platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform from the motor and wiring on the bottom platform, enhancing sound quality by reducing vibration interference.
