The Music Hall DAC 25.2 is a sophisticated digital-to-analog converter designed for audiophiles, featuring the Texas Instruments (formerly Burr-Brown) PCM1796 24bit/192kHz DAC with 123dB dynamic range and 0.0005% total harmonic distortion. It offers user-selectable upsampling to 96kHz or 192kHz and employs an advanced asynchronous reclocking and anti-jitter control system using a Philips 74HC574 and TI SRC4192 asynchronous sample rate converter with a high precision active crystal oscillator master clock. The DAC includes four digital inputs (coaxial S/PDIF, optical, XLR AES/EBU, and USB) and two gold-plated outputs (single-ended RCA and balanced XLR). It features an Electro-Harmonix 6922 tube single-ended RCA output stage and a solid-state differential balanced output stage. A high-quality headphone output with adjustable analog volume control is also provided. The unit is built with a large high-current oversize R-core power transformer, thick brushed aluminum fascia, and solid chassis. Voltage is selectable between 110V and 220V. Dimensions are 8.5" W x 13.5" D x 3.75" H, and it weighs 10 lbs. The DAC 25.2 was offered at a demo clearance price of and is sold out.
