About the Cruise Control 2.0
The Music Hall Cruise Control 2.0 is a variable frequency drive speed controller designed for Music Hall turntables (2.2, 5.1, 7.1 series) and many Pro-Ject models with 120V AC synchronous motors. It allows users to switch speeds electronically between 33.3 and 45 RPM without manually moving the belt, and supports optional 78 RPM playback with the appropriate pulley. The device features a quartz oscillator providing exceptional speed stability within ±0.0001% deviation and a pitch control adjustable in 20 steps of 0.1 RPM. It is powered by an outboard 16V/AC 1A power supply, consuming a maximum of 3W. The unit is housed in a black anodized aluminum case with dimensions 4.2" x 6" x 2.1" and weighs 2 lbs. It does not work with Music Hall X.3 series turntables that have DC motors or the MMF .3 series. The Cruise Control 2.0 enhances turntable performance by providing precise, stable speed control and ease of use for audiophiles.
