About the Master
The Montana Master Reference is a nearly seven-foot tall, quarter-ton audiophile loudspeaker designed for ultimate musical realism and presence. It features a heavily braced 500-liter cabinet with proprietary Innerchoic® interior construction that creates an internal anechoic chamber to absorb unwanted reflections and distortions. The speaker includes two 18" auditorium-grade subwoofers for deep bass, two 10" mid-woofers for textured mid-bass, two 5.25" mid-range drivers, and a highly efficient soft dome tweeter, all custom made or modified by SEAS and McCauley for Montana. It is powered by dual 1200 watt DSP-based built-in amplifiers that seamlessly drive the drivers. The front baffle is made of 2.25" thick solid maple hardwood, and the cabinet can be customized with veneers or piano-gloss finishes. The Master Reference delivers a flat frequency response from 15 Hz to 30,000 Hz with 94 dB sensitivity and is capable of filling large listening halls with vivid, life-like soundscapes. Dimensions are approximately 80" H x 26" W x 29" D, and each speaker weighs about 250 kg (550 lbs).
