About the P3b
The Monolithic Sound P3b Perpetual Power Plant is a dedicated power supply unit engineered to enhance the performance of the P1A and P3A audio devices. It includes separate transformers for each device to minimize interference, ultra-fast rectifier diodes for efficient power conversion, built-in AC line filtering to reduce noise, and circuit breaker protection for safety. The unit provides a 12V DC output at 2A for the P1A and a 9V AC output at 2.5A for the P3A. Its compact size (8.5" x 6" x 2.5") and weight (8 lbs) make it a practical addition to high-fidelity audio setups. The P3b is noted for significantly improving sound quality by reducing background haze and enhancing detail, dynamics, and image sharpness when used with compatible Monolithic Sound components.
