About the MasterTracker

The MoFi Electronics MasterTracker MM Phono Cartridge is engineered to extract the maximum musical information from vinyl records by closely mimicking the design of the cutting head used in Mobile Fidelity’s mastering studio. Its V-Twin dual-magnet generator features two powerful, low-mass magnets aligned in a V formation parallel to the record grooves, resulting in outstanding channel separation and detail retrieval. The cartridge is hand-built in Japan with a housing milled from solid aluminum billet in the USA, and features a Micro-Line diamond stylus shaped like a lathe’s cutting head for precise groove tracing. The well-damped billet aluminum body controls resonances for tight, accurate bass, while Ohno continuous cast copper coils ensure high signal purity. The MasterTracker is recognized for its open, detailed sound and is often compared favorably to high-end moving-coil cartridges, despite its moving-magnet design.
