The ModWright Instruments Oppo BDP-105 'Truth' modification extensively upgrades the stock Oppo BDP-105 ( user-supplied) Blu-ray/SACD/CD player. Key changes include a complete redesign of the single-ended and balanced output stages with a fully balanced Class A tube analog stage using two 6SN7 driver tubes, an external tube power supply (PS 9.0 or 9.9) with 5AR4 rectifier and 13EM7 regulators, upgraded Cardas RCA connectors, Furutech cryo-treated IEC, high-quality resistors, cryo-treated solid-core silver signal wire, improved power supplies for digital circuitry, and chassis damping. The digital section remains untouched, retaining the excellent ESS Sabre ES9018 DAC chips and clock. Optional region-free upgrade available. Voids Oppo warranty but includes 1-year ModWright warranty. Highly praised for natural, rich sound with better resolution and soundstage.
