The ModWright LS 100 Tube Preamplifier is a high-end single-ended design that advances the legacy of ModWright's earlier models like the 9.0SE, offering improved sonics, aesthetics, and functionality. It includes a 10-function remote control for power, volume, mute, input select, monitor select, and balance (bypassable). Key features encompass five standard RCA line inputs (CD, DVD, Video, Aux1, Aux2), one XLR input (wired single-ended), one Monitor input, Tape Out, HT Bypass input, and multiple outputs: 3x RCA main outs, 1x XLR main out (wired single-ended), plus two 12V trigger outputs. It supports an optional user-installable phono upgrade (MC/MM) via slot, internal Class A discrete headphone amp (32-600 ohm), all pushbutton controls, zero global negative feedback, direct-coupled input, low output impedance for broad amp compatibility, star grounding, pure copper PCB traces, and premium MWI capacitors. The phono option uses 1x 12AX7 and 1x 12AU7 tubes with dip-switch loading. Note: Phono or DAC upgrade (not both). Design emphasizes linearity, low distortion, sweet midrange, wide soundstage, and musicality with tube warmth.
