The Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs OML-2 is a thoughtfully designed floor-standing loudspeaker that combines elegant aesthetics with high-performance audio capabilities. It features custom-made components including a 1.25-inch silk dome tweeter, a 6.5-inch mica/Kevlar impregnated paper cone midrange driver, and a 6.5-inch mica/Kevlar impregnated paper cone woofer. The speaker is front-ported with a thin layer of soft foam inside the port to reduce chuffing noise. It offers a frequency response of 35Hz to 22kHz (+/- 3dB), an impedance of 6 ohms, and a sensitivity of 84dB. The crossover points are set at 300Hz and 3kHz with 12dB/octave slopes. The drivers are magnetically shielded for use near video monitors. The OML-2 is praised for its balanced sound with gut-busting bass, delicate midrange, and grain-free treble, making it suitable for both music and home theater applications.
