About the Saboten
Miyajima Laboratory Saboten is a stereo moving-coil phono cartridge known for its unusual cantilever made from selected Japanese cactus spine, joined to a short aluminum cantilever and diamond stylus. It is described as especially easy to use within the Miyajima lineup, with a natural, feeble-signal-friendly presentation and lingering sound character. The cartridge body is made from lignum vitae, and the model is associated with low-output MC operation and use with a step-up transformer or suitable high-gain phono stage.
