About the Fuuga
The Miyabi Labs Fuuga is a meticulously engineered moving-coil phono cartridge developed to honor the legacy of the original Miyabi cartridges. It features a tri-layer body made from different aluminum alloys (7075, 2017, and 6065) designed to damp resonance and provide an effective ground path for mechanical energy. The stylus is a tiny, fine-line hybrid parabolic mounted on a tapered-tube aluminum cantilever, with a magnetic assembly based on neodymium magnets. It outputs 0.35 mV at 5 cm/s zero to peak, has a low impedance of 2.5 ohms at 1 kHz, channel separation greater than 27 dB at 1 kHz, and a low compliance of 7 x 10⁻⁶ cm/dyne, making it suitable for medium to heavy tonearms. The cartridge weighs 15 grams and recommends a tracking force of 2.0 to 2.2 grams. The Fuuga is praised for its microdynamic resolution, transparency, and ability to present a coherent and intimate soundstage, balancing image dimensionality and hall spaciousness. It is considered a rising star in upper high-end analog reproduction and is
