About the AVt3

The MIT AVt3 is part of Music Interface Technologies' AVt series of high-end audio cables, primarily speaker cables but also available as interconnects and digital cables. Designed by Bruce Brisson, these cables incorporate arrays of embedded passive electronics using a low-pass filter network developed in 1989 to control network efficiency across the audio range, minimizing distortion. Key features include MIT's patented Parallel Multipole Network Technology with 8 articulation poles, Varilay geometry for enhanced dynamic contrast, and P.E. insulation to reduce nonlinear dielectric distortion, providing excellent low-frequency detail. Configurations include bi-wire speaker cables (e.g., 2m pair with banana to spade terminations), RCA interconnects (1m or 1.5m), and digital RCA SPDIF. The product includes the iconn interchangeable connection system for easy connections. MIT AVt3 is listed in their no-longer-supported products as discontinued around 2019.
