The Mission 753 Freedom loudspeaker features a unique transverse-folded cabinet made from 25mm medium density fibreboard with constrained layered damping and fire-retardant polyurethane foam for resonance control. It employs four 5¼ inch plastiflexed paper cone woofers with rubber surrounds and double-layer aluminum formers, arranged in a twin chamber design to optimize midband coherence and bass performance. The high-frequency unit is a 1 inch ferrofluid-cooled silk dome tweeter designed for smooth, silky highs with superior off-axis response and ultra-fast transient response. The crossover network uses 10 quality components and supports bi-amping and bi-wiring via 5-way gold binding posts. The speaker has a frequency response of 45Hz to 20kHz, a sensitivity of 90dB SPL at 1 meter with 2.83V input, nominal impedance of 6 ohms, and recommended amplifier power of 25 to 150 watts per channel. The cabinet dimensions are 875mm high, 208mm wide, and 315mm deep, weighing approximately 23 to 50 kg depending on source. The enclosure volume is about 30 to 34 liters, sealed with bass assist. The design emphasizes high efficiency, dynamic capability, and low distortion, making it suitable for live concert sound reproduction levels. The finish is typically real wood veneer such as rosewood.
