About the Omni 250

The Mirage Omni 250 is a floorstanding Omnipolar tower speaker that uses Mirage's Omniguide acoustic module to disperse sound in a 360-degree pattern for a wide, spacious soundstage across the listening area. It is a 3-driver, quasi 3-way, magnetically shielded design with a ported (bass-reflex) cabinet, employing a 1" Pure Titanium Hybrid (PTH) tweeter and two 5.5" Polypropylene Titanium Deposit Hybrid (PTDH) cone drivers -- one firing upward into the Omniguide array and one forward as an additional woofer. Rated performance includes a frequency response of 40Hz-20kHz (+/-3dB), nominal impedance of 8 ohms (4 ohms minimum), recommended amplifier power up to 150W RMS per channel, and room efficiency/sensitivity specified at 93dB. The speaker measures approximately 38" H x 8" W x 13" D (about 97 x 20 x 33 cm) and weighs about 45 lb (approx. 20.5 kg), and it was offered in black and cherry finishes. Designed for both home theater and 2-channel music systems, the Omniguide Omnipolar radiation pattern helps maintain consistent timbre and imaging across a broad listening area, with clear, natural mids and detailed treble, making listener position less critical than with conventional forward-firing speakers.
