About the DDRC-88A
The miniDSP DDRC-88A is a professional 8-channel digital audio signal processor designed for room correction using the Dirac Live® algorithm. It features a 32-bit floating point Analog Devices SHARC DSP running at 333MHz, providing time and frequency correction for 7.1 surround sound, home theater, studio, or commercial AV installations. The unit supports both balanced and unbalanced analog inputs and outputs via RCA jacks and Phoenix terminal blocks. It operates at a fixed 48kHz sample rate with 24-bit input/output resolution. The DDRC-88A includes an infrared remote learning feature and front panel rotary encoder for control without a PC once configured. It offers real-time control and firmware upgrades via USB and supports up to four filter presets stored onboard. The device improves audio imaging, clarity, bass tightness, and reduces room resonances and listening fatigue. An optional DDRC-88BM plugin adds advanced bass management, active crossovers, and multi-subwoofer configurations. The processor is powered by a 12V DC supply and housed in a 1RU rack-mountable chassis with dimensions 41.5 x 429 x 252 mm. It is suitable for home theaters, studios, auditoriums, and commercial AV environments.
