The Michell TecnoArm 2 is a high-performance tonearm designed to deliver an exceptional audiophile listening experience at a value that competes with tonearms costing three times as much. It features a custom one-piece aluminum arm tube that is shot-blasted for rigidity and drilled with 22 holes underneath to reduce mass. The integral headshell is machined perfectly parallel to the bearing position. The tonearm uses ultra-low friction polymer bearings and a redesigned mounting base for stable, friction-free movement. It is wired with Michell's proprietary wiring loom using 99.9999% pure silver litz wire from cartridge tags to phono plugs, ensuring a pure, high-fidelity signal path with no internal wiring joints. The TecnoWeight counterweight system allows precise tracking force adjustment, and the VTA/SRA adjuster enables accurate tonearm height and stylus tracking angle calibration. The tonearm supports cartridges weighing between 4 to 13 grams and has an effective mass of 12.5 grams, an effective length of 237 mm, a pivot to spindle distance of 222 mm, an overhang of 15 mm, and an offset angle of 21.63°. It is compatible with Michell turntables such as the Gyrodec and Orbe, and those featuring 'Double Brace Technology'. The design includes internal foam damping and silver-plated cartridge clips and phono plugs. Available in black or silver finishes, the TecnoArm 2 is built for durability, acoustic fidelity, and ease of fine-tuning.
