About the Ambre
The Metrum Acoustics Ambre is a dedicated Roon endpoint digital bridge designed for high-end audio systems. It streams bit-perfect low-jitter digital audio and supports other software like Volumio via SD card swap. Featuring a Raspberry Pi for network connectivity (optically and galvanically isolated), Tentlabs low-jitter clocks (separate for 44.1kHz and 48kHz families), large linear toroidal power supply, and robust outputs tested up to 10m for I2S using network cables. All outputs are galvanically isolated. It excels in musicality, rhythm, smoothness, and detail, especially paired with Metrum DACs like Onyx, Jade, Pavane, or Adagio via I2S. Available in silver or black. Company experienced bankruptcy but ownership returned to founders in 2020; product listed on official site.
