About the Merging+Player
The Merging+Player is a networked digital audio player and DAC offered in Stereo and Multichannel-8 versions. It supports PCM up to 384 kHz, DXD, and DSD64/128/256. The Multichannel-8 version provides eight discrete analogue output channels, while the Stereo version combines the DAC channels for stereo playback. Both versions use ESS Sabre ES9008S conversion, and the unit includes headphone outputs. Digital connectivity includes RAVENNA/AES67 Ethernet, AES/EBU, optical S/PDIF, coaxial S/PDIF, word-clock input, and two USB ports. The Player runs Roon Core on Linux/RoonOS and communicates internally with the MERGING+NADAC hardware over RAVENNA, allowing it to function as a Roon-based music server, network player, and DAC.
