About the MX135

The McIntosh MX135 is a premium Audio/Video Control Center and home cinema processor manufactured between 2004 and 2007. It integrates advanced digital processing technologies including Dolby Digital EX, Pro Logic IIx, DTS-ES, NEO:6, and Stereo 96 for superior surround sound. Key features include a low-noise Moving Magnet phono preamplifier, two pairs of balanced high-level inputs, eight-channel balanced outputs, 12 analog inputs, 11 S-Video inputs, five sets of component video inputs with upconversion from composite/S-Video to component, on-screen and fluorescent displays, automatic mode switching, digitally controlled volume and tone controls, two-zone operation, and compatibility with optional TM-1 AM/FM tuner module. It bridges traditional analog preamps and digital A/V processors with intuitive front-panel controls and a learning remote. MSRP was $7,600 USD or approx. 12,500 Euro.
