About the LCR80

The McIntosh LCR80 is a compact, high-performance 3-way sealed loudspeaker system optimized for home theater applications. It can be used as left, center, or right channel speakers, matching the voicing of McIntosh XR50 and XR100 models. Its flexible design supports horizontal, vertical, or shelf-mounted orientations with included adjustable mounting hardware, including on-wall brackets (±30 degrees) and rear stabilizers (±11 degrees). The speaker delivers a wide soundstage, spacious imaging, and low distortion thanks to patented Low Distortion/High Performance (LD/HP) technology in the woofers, which reduces distortion by ten times compared to conventional designs, improves power handling, and enhances efficiency. The high-frequency array, mounted on a machined alloy plate, is rotatable for optimal dispersion in any orientation. It features McIntosh custom gold-plated Solid Cinch binding posts for secure connections. Available in gloss finishes like Black and Red Walnut, with a magnetically attached black knit cloth grille.
