About the MS750

The McIntosh MS750 is a high-end music server featuring a 750GB hard drive capable of storing over 2,000 hours of music at full CD quality, equivalent to more than 2,500 CDs. It includes an integrated Web interface and Ethernet connectivity for remote control and music streaming. The unit supports encoding in FLAC and MP3 formats and decoding of PCM, FLAC, MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats. It has a CD player and burner for ripping and burning CDs. The MS750 offers extensive connectivity including RS-232C, composite, S-video, and component video outputs, as well as analog inputs and digital outputs (optical and coaxial). Audio specifications include a frequency response of 2Hz to 22kHz ±1dB, signal-to-noise ratio of 102dB (IHF A-weighted), dynamic range of 96dB, harmonic distortion of 0.01%, and channel separation of 95dB at 1kHz. Output level is 2.0V RMS with 200 ohms output impedance. The unit measures 17.5" (445mm) wide by 6" (152mm) high by 15.375" (403mm) deep and weighs 28 lbs (12.8kg) net. It requires 100–240V, 50/60Hz power at 60W. The MS750 is manufactured by McIntosh Laboratory, Inc., based in Binghamton, NY.
