The McIntosh MI254 is a versatile 4-channel digital amplifier ideal for home theater surround sound, distributed audio, or stereo playback. It features highly sophisticated closed loop digital switching amplifiers paired with robust power supplies, delivering 250 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts per channel into 4 ohms with very low distortion (0.025% THD). The Class D amplifier design is highly efficient, requiring no noisy cooling fans, aided by cooling vents on the top and sides. It includes McIntosh's exclusive Power Assurance System with Power Guard circuit to prevent clipping and distortion, and Sentry Monitor technology for fuse-less short-circuit protection. The amplifier has a black glass front panel with blue watt meters and LED illumination, and is 2U rack mountable with removable mounting ears.
