The McIntosh MCD1100 SACD/CD Player is a state-of-the-art digital audio source component designed to deliver maximum musical fidelity from CD, SACD, MP3, WMA, and other digital formats. It features a twin laser pickup for reading both CD and SACD discs, an advanced transport mechanism with die-cast aluminum base for quiet and precise operation, and exclusive McIntosh Quad Balanced DACs (four per stereo channel) for ultra-low distortion and wide dynamic range. The player includes five digital inputs (coaxial, optical, XLR, BNC, USB) allowing connection to various digital sources including computers, and variable volume balanced outputs that can drive power amplifiers directly or headphones. The MCD1100 also offers a classic 3D glass front panel design with polished stainless steel chassis, a multi-function front panel display, and full remote control functionality. It supports high-resolution playback with frequency response up to 40kHz for SACD and 20kHz for CD, a dynamic range of 100dB, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB. The unit is designed for integration into McIntosh systems with power control input and advanced control features.
