About the MC301

The McIntosh MC301 is a monoblock power amplifier delivering 300 watts of continuous power into 2, 4, or 8 ohm loads. It is McIntosh's smallest current mono block amplifier, ideal for smaller systems where extremely high power is not required. The MC301 features a Quad Balanced circuit design that cancels noise inside the output Autoformer, ensuring the highest power output with minimal distortion (0.005% THD). The amplifier includes McIntosh's patented Power Guard® circuitry to prevent clipping and protect speakers, and uses output Autoformers to deliver full power regardless of speaker impedance. It supports both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with corresponding outputs for bi-amping configurations. The chassis is a slim 6 inches tall, finished with a classic black glass front panel, silver end caps, and a large blue watt meter that can be turned off. The MC301 weighs approximately 30.4 kg (67 lbs) and measures 17.5" W x 6" H x 21" D.
