About the C2300

The McIntosh C2300 is a high-end tube preamplifier that combines classic McIntosh design with advanced engineering. It features six 12AX7A vacuum tubes and delivers exceptional audio performance with fully adjustable phono inputs for both moving coil and moving magnet cartridges. The preamplifier includes eight programmable source selections, with four accommodating balanced XLR inputs and all supporting unbalanced RCA inputs. A standout feature is the ability to adjust phono loading and impedance settings during playback via remote control. The C2300 incorporates a precision digitally-controlled volume attenuator with 214 steps of 0.5dB increments, programmable bass and treble tone controls, and a high-quality headphone amplifier. The unit is housed in McIntosh's signature chassis with a custom glass top cover featuring fiber optic lighting to showcase the tubes. All adjustments can be made from the front panel or included remote control, with settings stored in memory for each input. The C2300 was manufactured from 2008 to 2015 in the USA.
