The McIntosh C-34V, produced from 1985 to 1992, is a stereo audio video control center that combines a preamplifier with a built-in 20W per channel amplifier capable of driving speakers or headphones. It features a 5-band equalizer with ±12 dB boost/cut at 30, 150, 500, 1500, and 10,000 Hz, a compandor for dynamic range compression and expansion, and an active loudness control independent of volume. The phono input supports moving magnet cartridges with low noise and distortion. The unit includes multiple audio and video inputs and outputs, McIntosh proprietary connectors for video selector and speaker control relay, and a precision volume control for channel balance. It is housed in a compact chassis measuring 406 x 138 x 330 mm and weighs 11.8 kg.
