About the N31

The MBL Akustikgeräte N31, also known as the MBL Noble Line N31, is a high-end CD player and digital-to-analog converter combining disc playback, standalone DAC functionality, digital signal routing, and balanced analog output. It supports PCM audio up to 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD64 via DoP. The unit uses a fully balanced analog signal path to its XLR outputs, selectable digital filtering, multi-stage jitter reduction, psychoacoustically optimized digital and analog filtering, True Peak processing, CD-Text display, and MBL SmartLink system integration. An optional Roon module was offered for use as a streaming endpoint. The official MBL product information identifies the N31 as a current or recently listed Noble Line product; The N31 is therefore marked as not confirmed to be no longer manufactured.
