About the N31

The MBL N31 is a high-end CD player and DAC from the Noble Line that combines a precision Red Book CD transport with a state-of-the-art digital-to-analogue converter. It features psycho-acoustically optimized digital and analogue filters, 24-bit resolution up to 192 kHz and DSD64 support, along with a three-stage jitter-reduction system for very low time-domain distortion. The digital section offers multiple inputs, including Toslink, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and asynchronous USB Audio (Class 1 & 2) for use as an external DAC. The N31 maintains a fully balanced signal path with MBL's True Peak Technology in the analog output stage to preserve dynamics and prevent intersample overloads. A large 5-inch color TFT display and a backlit system remote control provide convenient operation, and the unit is compatible with MBL SmartLink for system integration and an optional Roon-Ready streaming module for network playback.
