About the N11

The MBL N11 preamplifier is a high-end, all-analog linestage designed as the control center of MBL's Noble Line, focused on maximum transparency and extremely low noise. It offers seven analog inputs (five RCA and two XLR) with XLR-priority signal routing and an optional on-board MC phono module or additional balanced XLR input, plus a ground terminal for turntables. The N11 employs a single-gain-stage, wide-bandwidth circuit optimized for minimal noise and distortion, and features MBL's Unity Gain function, which improves transparency, resolution, and dynamic range by lowering the noise floor. Volume is handled by a stepper-motor-driven sealed precision analogue potentiometer, ensuring excellent channel balance and fine level control. Two separately switchable output groups provide five variable outputs (RCA and XLR) plus two fixed outputs (RCA and XLR), allowing flexible connection of multiple power amplifiers and recording devices. Unused inputs can be disabled to minimize noise and speed source selection, and a user-adjustable power-on volume limit enhances operational safety. The front panel incorporates a 5-inch color TFT display and six context-sensitive smart keys for intuitive operation, complemented by a backlit remote control with an integrated rotary volume ring. The N11 integrates into MBL systems via MBL SmartLink 2.0 and provides an SD slot for firmware updates. Handbuilt in Germany at MBL's Berlin facilities, it is available in premium finish options.
