About the 1611 F
The MBL 1611 F is a premium standalone digital-to-analog converter (DAC) weighing 23 kg (50 lbs), built on solid brass pillars and housed in a chassis milled from a single block of aluminum. It combines two top-end converter designs—1-Bit/Delta-Sigma and Multibit—to accurately convert digital music signals into analog voltage values, producing a detailed and spacious soundstage with meticulous overtone reproduction and tight bass control. It features group-delay-optimized digital and analog filters for natural sound, USB input with Master Clock Mode for asynchronous, jitter-free data transfer, and MBL True Peak Technology to eliminate mastering inaccuracies. The DAC supports multiple digital inputs including XLR (AES/EBU), RCA (S/PDIF), BNC (S/PDIF), Toslink optical, and USB, with optional Roon Ready network input card. It is designed as the perfect partner for the MBL 1621 A CD Drive and allows connection to PC/Mac/iPhone/iPad without driver installation. Separate power supplies for analog, digital, and display functions ensure optimal performance.
