About the Element I2
The Matrix Audio Element I2 is a versatile music streamer, DAC, and headphone amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking high-quality digital audio playback. Despite being the entry-level model in the Element series, it shares many advanced technologies with higher-end models, including a powerful quad-core NXP i.MX 6Quad Cortex-A9 CPU and a high-precision Crystek CCHD-950 femtosecond clock to reduce jitter and improve sound accuracy. It features a 3.46 inch LCD touch screen for convenient operation and rich track information display. The Element I2 supports a wide range of digital inputs including coaxial, optical, IIS-LVDS, and USB audio, and outputs via balanced 4.4mm headphone jack with a 4-channel full-balanced headphone amplifier architecture for low distortion and high power output. It is a full MQA decoder, enabling playback of MQA and MQA Studio files for master-quality sound. Network connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) for stable streaming from services like TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, and Internet radio. The device is Roon Ready and supports DLNA/UPnP and AirPlay 2. The package includes an RM4 remote control with programmable buttons, power cable, quick start guide, and warranty card. The Element I2 weighs 2.6 kg and measures 240mm x 259mm x 58mm.
