The MartinLogan Abyss 8 is one of the smallest subwoofers from the brand, delivering unexpectedly powerful and detailed bass from its compact design. It employs a unique Hybrid Woofer System with a single high-excursion 8-inch anodized-aluminum active woofer and dual 8-inch anodized-aluminum passive radiators, providing the output of a ported sub while retaining the tight bass of a sealed enclosure. Powered by a Magnitude MT-1kW Class D amplifier offering 1000W peak (500W continuous/RMS) power, and driven by an ultra-high-resolution 500MHz Vojtko DSP engine with 64-bit processing, it ensures clean, distortion-free performance. Connectivity includes line-level L/R RCA, LFE XLR, speaker-level L/R (banana plugs required), and integrated wireless receiver with transmitter. The Sub Control app enables easy adjustments of volume, phase, low-pass filter, and presets (Movie, Music, Night), with compatibility for Anthem Room Correction (ARC). Available in Gloss Black or Satin White finishes with a sealed 1-inch thick MDF cabinet and stealth grille system. Currently in production and actively sold.
