About the Theater

The MartinLogan Theater center channel speaker was launched in 1999 and is designed to be the critical element in any home theater system, providing a seamless sound stage that tracks the cinematic environment perfectly. It features a patented CLS electrostatic transducer for mid frequencies, three 1-inch soft dome tweeters arranged in a controlled dispersion array for high frequencies, and two 6.5-inch magnetically shielded woofers in a non-resonance asymmetrical chamber format for low frequencies. The speaker offers a frequency response of 70–22,000 Hz ±3dB, a sensitivity of 90 dB at 2.83 volts/meter, and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. It supports amplifier power from 20 to 500 watts per channel and has a horizontal dispersion of 30 degrees. The Theater is designed with custom-wound audio transformers, air core coils, and polypropylene capacitors to ensure high fidelity. It weighs 57 lbs and measures 13" × 43" × 11.5" with the wall-mount/stand.
