The Martin Logan Motion 40 is a slim, elegant floorstanding speaker designed for both music and home theater systems. It features a 1" x 1.4" Folded Motion tweeter for crisp, low-distortion highs, a dedicated 5.5" aluminum cone midrange for clear, open mids, and two 6.5" aluminum cone woofers for rich, articulate bass. The rear-ported, bass-reflex cabinet enhances low-frequency response, while the high-sensitivity design (92 dB) makes it easy to drive with a wide range of amplifiers. The Motion 40 is bi-wire and bi-amp capable, with custom five-way binding posts, and is finished in high-gloss piano black. It is praised for its expansive soundstage, precise imaging, and emotional engagement, rivaling larger and more expensive speakers.
