About the No. 360S
The No. 360S is a high-end Mark Levinson DAC derived from the No. 360 but upgraded with four 24-bit Burr-Brown PCM1704 multibit DAC chips arranged as dual differential per channel, four 32-bit SHARC DSPs for digital filtering, and hand-calibrated bulk metal-foil resistors for output level matching. Built on four-layer cyanate-ester PCBs with separate discrete regulators for left and right channels and OSCON capacitors at critical nodes, it supports 24-bit/96kHz input and provides XLR, RCA, BNC, ST and EIAJ digital inputs plus balanced XLR and single-ended RCA analog outputs. Reviewers consistently note a highly detailed soundstage, fine low-level detail, smooth treble, and articulate bass.
