About the No 27.5
The Mark Levinson No. 27.5 is a high-end stereo power amplifier from the early 1990s, renowned for its robust build quality, musicality, and performance from the 'golden age' of Mark Levinson. Produced around 1992-1995, it features a dual monaural architecture with massive power supplies and is praised for under-spec'd yet highly musical sound. Recently recapped units are available in excellent condition. It supports both single-ended (RCA) and balanced (XLR) inputs, with options for normal and inverting operation. No longer in production, it remains sought after in the used market.
