The Marantz NR1506 is a slim-profile network AV receiver designed for high-quality home theater and music streaming. It features a 5-channel discrete amplifier delivering 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms with 0.08% THD, supporting Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD Master Audio, and other surround formats. The receiver includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless streaming, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and Internet radio access. It supports high-resolution audio formats including FLAC 192/24, DSD 2.8 MHz, ALAC, and gapless playback. Video capabilities include six HDMI 2.0a inputs and one output with HDCP 2.2 support, 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 resolution, HDR, 3D pass-through, and Audio Return Channel (ARC). The unit features Audyssey MultEQ room calibration, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume, and a smart ECO mode for power saving. It has a slim chassis measuring 440 x 105 x 376 mm and weighs 8.2 kg. The NR1506 is compatible with the Marantz AVR Remote app for iOS and Android and includes a setup assistant and hybrid GUI for easy operation. It lacks a phono input but offers preamp outputs for two subwoofers and supports DLNA 1.5 for network streaming.
