The Marantz MM8077 is a high-performance 7-channel power amplifier designed for ultimate music and movie surround sound experiences. It delivers 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 180 watts per channel into 6 ohms, featuring Marantz's unique current feedback discrete power amplifier stage for accurate, natural sound with a high slew rate and wide bandwidth. The amplifier uses a massive toroidal power transformer and high-capacity filter capacitors to handle dynamic peaks and low impedance speaker loads efficiently. It includes both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs for each channel, gold-plated binding post speaker terminals, and a copper-plated chassis to minimize noise. Cooling is managed by dual extruded aluminum alloy heat sinks with passive and active cooling via a whisper-quiet fan. The MM8077 supports DC trigger input/output and RC-5 remote control in/out for integration with compatible Marantz A/V preamps. It features a classic Marantz ringed porthole display with blue illumination and a display on/off function. The amplifier is finished in anodized black satin and weighs approximately 45.4 lbs.
