About the Skipjack
The Manley Skipjack is a 4-into-1 or 3-into-2 RCA switcher that allows users to compare several audio sources, interconnects, or preamps, or to add additional inputs to their HiFi system in the cleanest possible way. It features an extremely high channel-to-channel separation of 116 dB from 22Hz to 22kHz, ensuring complete transparency with no audible artifacts reported by users. The Skipjack supports both phono and line input levels and uses dual contact NAIS relays for switching, maintaining signal integrity. Its internal wiring consists of six inches of silver stranded 18 AWG wire, contributing to its low internal signal loss of less than 0.045 dB. The frequency response extends from DC to 200 kHz ±0.1 dB at 200 kHz, and it boasts a signal-to-noise ratio of 117 dB with virtually non-existent total harmonic distortion (THD). The unit is powered by an external 9V DC, 2.2A power supply with universal AC input. It includes a mating "pickle" cabled remote switch and an IEC power cable. The Skipjack is designed to be heavy and stable (6 lbs) to prevent movement when heavy audiophile cables are connected. It can be configured flexibly, including modes that allow simultaneous selection of outputs or inputs, and can be used in reverse to route signals in unconventional ways, such as driving multiple preamps or amplifiers. Dimensions are 7.75" deep x 7" wide x 2" tall.
