About the S3

The Magico S3 2023 loudspeaker represents Magico's pursuit of acoustic perfection, incorporating technological breakthroughs from their flagship M9 model. It features a 3-way sealed enclosure constructed from four extruded aluminum panels with thicknesses ranging from 1/2" to 2", designed with an edgeless perimeter to minimize diffraction. The enclosure includes a curved top plate and a 3-point outrigger base for enhanced stability and noise reduction. The speaker uses a new generation of transducer chassis with a 1.1" diamond-coated beryllium dome tweeter, a 5" Gen 8 midrange driver with a honeycomb aluminum core sandwiched between graphene and carbon fiber layers, and two 9" Gen 8 bass drivers with Graphene Nano-Tec cones for superior stiffness and low distortion. The drivers are engineered for wide dispersion, transparency, and powerful bass with minimal distortion. The S3 has a frequency response of 24Hz to 50kHz, sensitivity of 88dB, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and recommended amplifier power of 50 to 750 watts. Each speaker weighs 222 lbs and measures 44" high, 17" deep, and 12" wide (17" with outrigger).
