About the S3

The Magico S3 2023 loudspeaker is a 3-way, 4-driver sealed floorstander that incorporates key technologies derived from the flagship M9, including a newly developed tweeter platform and advanced Graphene Nano-Tec cone technology for the midrange and bass drivers. Its enclosure is built from machined and extruded 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum panels, extensively braced and damped, with a curved, edgeless profile and a 3-point outrigger base to reduce diffraction, mechanical resonances, and noise while improving stability. The driver complement consists of a 1.1" diamond-coated beryllium dome tweeter, a 5" Gen 8 midrange driver employing a honeycomb aluminum core sandwiched between layers of graphene and carbon fiber, and two 9" Gen 8 bass drivers using an enhanced Graphene Nano-Tec cone for high stiffness, low mass, and low distortion output. The system is engineered for wide dispersion, high transparency, and powerful, low-distortion bass, aided by a super-stabilized motor system that maintains very low inductance and distortion even at high output levels. Specified performance includes a frequency response of 24 Hz to 50 kHz, sensitivity of 88 dB, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and minimum recommended amplifier power of 50 watts. Each speaker measures 44" high x 17" deep x 12" wide and weighs 222 lbs, and the model is built to order as part of Magico's S-Series lineup, positioned as a benchmark in measured performance in both the frequency and time domains.
