About the S3

The Magico S3 2023 is a three-way, four-driver sealed floorstanding loudspeaker featuring a 1.1-inch diamond-coated beryllium dome tweeter, a 5-inch Gen 8 midrange driver, and two 9-inch Gen 8 bass drivers. The midrange and bass drivers use Magico’s Graphene Nano-Tec cone construction, combining an aluminum honeycomb core with graphene and carbon-fiber layers. Its extensively braced and damped enclosure is constructed from machined and extruded 6061-T6 aluminum panels and incorporates a curved profile and outrigger base designed to improve rigidity, stability, and resistance to unwanted resonances. The S3 has a specified frequency response of 24 Hz–50 kHz, 88 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm nominal impedance, and recommended amplification of 50–750 watts. Dimensions are 44 inches high by 17 inches deep by 12 inches wide, or 17 inches wide with the outrigger base; each speaker weighs 222 pounds.
