About the Mini II

The Magico Mini II is a high-end, two-way sealed stand-mounted loudspeaker designed and manufactured in the USA by Magico. Its compact monitor enclosure is built from 17-ply Baltic birch plywood laminated into a curved teardrop-like form with heavy internal bracing to minimize cabinet resonances and standing waves. The drivers are mounted to thick CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum baffles and plates that provide rigid coupling and help maintain an air-tight, non-resonant structure under high internal pressure. The Mini II uses a 7" Nano-Tec mid-bass driver with a high-power voice coil and a 1" ring-radiator Revelator tweeter, both working into a sealed box and specified at 87 dB sensitivity, 4 ohms nominal impedance, and a frequency response of 40 Hz to 40 kHz. A refined Elliptical Symmetry Crossover with premium parts is employed to optimize phase coherence and reduce distortion; the speaker is recommended with 50 to 250 W of clean amplification. Including its massive dedicated stand, the system weighs about 200 lb and measures roughly 106 x 38 x 45 cm. The Mini II is widely regarded for its exceptional neutrality, resolution, imaging, and dynamic capability, often noted as delivering performance comparable to much larger reference loudspeakers.
