The Lyngdorf Audio MP-50 is a premium surround sound processor designed for audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts. It supports immersive surround sound formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D, along with legacy formats such as Dolby Digital and DTS-HD Master Audio. The processor features 16 balanced XLR analog outputs capable of delivering up to 12 discrete audio channels, with 4 additional outputs for extra speakers or subwoofers. It includes RoomPerfect, Lyngdorf's advanced room correction technology that measures millions of audio reflections to create a three-dimensional model of the listening environment, optimizing frequency response, level alignment, and bass management without requiring extensive acoustic treatment. The MP-50 also has a built-in media player supporting streaming services like Spotify, Airplay, Roon, and internet radio, accessible via network or USB. Connectivity includes 8 HDMI inputs and 2 outputs with 4K, 3D, and HDCP 2.2 support, AES/EBU, coaxial and optical digital inputs, USB audio input, and an XLR microphone input for calibration. Control is facilitated through the Lyngdorf Remote app for iOS and Android. The unit is built with a sleek Scandinavian design using matte black aluminum and glass, measuring approximately 450mm wide, 147mm deep, and 370mm high, weighing 9 kg. It is a scaled-down version of the Steinway Lyngdorf Model P200, offering high-end performance at a relatively accessible price point.
