About the PD-191A

The Luxman PD-191A is a flagship analog turntable succeeding the PD-171 series, designed for high-fidelity vinyl playback. It employs a belt-drive system with a high-precision, high-torque brushless DC motor controlled by sine wave PWM/PID programming and a MEMS oscillator reference clock for precise speed stability (wow & flutter <0.04% weighted RMS). The 5.2kg aluminum platter, machined from a single billet with diamond-cut finish, provides a moment of inertia of 0.7 t·cm² for smooth rotation. The original LTA-710 static balanced S-shaped tonearm, jointly developed with SAEC, uses a concealed vertical knife-edge bearing for high initial sensitivity. Additional features include a reflected LED stroboscope for speed visualization, pitch control, vibration isolation via rubber damping mounts and adjustable isolator feet (up to 5mm height), underslung chassis with 15mm aluminum top plate, and compatibility with third-party tonearms via accessory bases. It includes a Luxman universal headshell with D.U.C.C. wiring, aluminum EP adapter, and OFC phono cable.
