About the U1X

The LUMIN U1X is a high-end network music transport: it streams music from network and USB storage, performs digital processing and optional resampling, then sends a digital signal to an external DAC. It has no analogue audio outputs, no onboard DAC chip and no power amplifier. Its design includes a solid-aluminium chassis, four exceptionally low-phase-noise crystal clock oscillators, five digital output types, and the separate CNC-billet X1 dual-toroidal power supply. It supports high-resolution PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD up to DSD512, with USB output capable of those maximum rates. The product remains listed by LUMIN on its official product site, so it is not considered discontinued. Finish options are raw brushed aluminium and black anodised brushed aluminium, with a matching X1 PSU.
